Position: Project Leader

Description:
Project Leaders are responsible for leading teams that define, design, develop and test prototypes and products. Project Leaders also lead design transfer teams to move products into manufacturing. Project teams may be as small as two people or as large as required. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide organization and leadership for development teams to accomplish project goals.  
  • Be the primary client contact on assigned projects, and the client’s champion within Minnetronix.
  • Lead and document product development and support project planning and execution. This includes defining and tracking project deliverables, technical features development, schedules, and project financial statuses.
  • Ensure that project deliverables meet their quality, safety and functional goals, and meet customer expectations.
  • Manage project finances, and schedule and provide internal and customer monthly status reports.
  • Collaborate with the business leadership team to achieve effective project staffing.
  • Assist Business Development by meeting with potential new customers and providing input and support on proposals as requested. Also assist in identification of potential projects with new and existing customers.

    In addition to the above, Senior Project Leaders' responsibilities include:

  • Leading very large, highly interdisciplinary and/or unusually complex projects.
  • Contribute to the overall improvement in Minnetronix systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • BS/MS in Electrical, Computer or Biomedical Engineering. 
  • Minimum eight (8) years engineering experience.
  • Minimum three (3) years project leadership experience.
  • Medical device development experience required.
  • Embedded software and electronics background strongly preferred.
  • Experience with all phases of new product development, from concept through commercialization (preferred but not required).
  • Demonstrated leadership behaviors including effective communication, critical thinking and decision-making, adaptability, coaching and mentoring, and promoting a strong sense of urgency for reaching goals required.
