Job Description

Department: Engineering
Position: Mechanical Engineer
Titles: Mechanical Engineer or Sr. Mechanical Engineer
Reports to: Usually reports to Engineering Manager

Qualifications include:

• Proficient at SolidWorks
• Medical Product design experience a plus
• 7 or more years experience
• B.S. in Mechanical Engineering

Responsibilities include:

• Mechanical engineering leader and designer on medical device projects.
• Design medical instrumentation enclosures, mechanisms and test fixtures. These designs may include plastic, sheet metal and machined parts. This includes preparing tool-ready databases.
• Work with suppliers to incorporate design for manufacturability in components.
• Collaborate on designs with partners.
• Participate in product design reviews
• Work with industrial design firms to turn product concepts into products.
• Write and review design specifications.
• Perform electromechanical assembly design selection tradeoffs.
