Department: Software Development
Position: Embedded Software Engineer
Reports to: Software Manager

Are you or will you be a recent Computer Science or Computer Engineering graduate?
Are you a Computer Science or Computer Engineering graduate with a few years experience in an engineering-related industry?

In the 10+ years we’ve been in business we have created over 50 of these medical devices and they run the gamut from large distributed architecture Heart/Lung machines to small battery-powered nerve stimulators. We’ve never met a medical device we couldn’t create. We are looking for Computer Science or Computer Engineering engineers with the following skills:

  • A keen interest in making things move with your software
  • Good OO software visualization, design documentation and troubleshooting skills
  • Proficiency in the C and/or C++ languages
  • Electronic hardware and test equipment experience - or a strong desire to acquire it
  • UML, Real-time Operating System (RTOS) and QNX experience a plus.

 

Our software engineers are involved in the entire software development process: requirements definition/refinement, object oriented design, design reviews, coding, code reviews and verification testing. Engineers are encouraged to be creative & innovative, while at the same time are expected to learn and follow our structured processes.
