Minnetronix Selected as 2008 Tekne Award Finalist in "Medical Technology" Category

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Minnesota High Tech Association (MHTA), in partnership with Enterprise Minnesota and LifeScience Alley, this week announced finalists for the ninth annual Tekne Awards, a celebration of superior technological innovation and leadership in Minnesota.

Minnetronix (St. Paul, MN) has been selected as one of three finalists in the category of Medical Technology Small and Emerging Company. This award will acknowledge a company excelling in production of devices, diagnostics and equipment relating to the medical field.

The lists of finalists for the 2008 Tekne Awards ranges from successful well-known technology companies to those on the verge of great success, due in part to technological innovation. Also honored will be individuals that have positively impacted Minnesotas quality of life and helped secure Minnesotas place as one of the most technologically advanced regions in the world. Awards are separated into categories that recognize the best and brightest in innovation, development, commercialization and management of technology in Minnesota.

 The Tekne Awards have served as a sign of Minnesotas technological prominence for nearly a decade, and the accomplishments of this years group of finalists continue that tradition, said Kate Rubin, president of MHTA. Both the quantity and quality of entries continue to grow and technology innovation, as represented by these finalists, is strong.
