Minnetronix Announces Organizational Changes

ST. PAUL, Minn.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Minnetronix, Inc., a leading medical device design, manufacturing and technology firm, recently announced organizational changes that will more closely align with the company’s strategic initiatives of advancing technical capabilities, strengthening its competitive position, and entry into new market space. 

Dirk Smith, former VP of Engineering, has been appointed Chief Technical Officer. His new role will include monitoring and assessing advanced medical device technology and gauging how these technologies may be utilized by Minnetronix. As part of his new role, Smith will also be highly involved with prospective customers and will take a lead role within the medical device technical community with high-visibility activities such as presentation of papers, participation on expert panels, and other speaking engagements, among other technically-focused activities.  Smith has 20+ years of medical device industry experience in both product and business development, as well as technical leadership.

Additionally, Jeremy Maniak, who most recently served as VP of New Ventures will now add VP of Engineering to his title (VP of New Ventures and Engineering). The purpose of this change is to align Minnetronix’ engineering leadership for all programs under one individual. This will allow for more clarity, better decision making and prioritization for the engineering group as a result of having all projects, internal and external, under Maniak. Jeremy, who has an extensive background in directing research and development efforts, will lead and build a foundation in support of Minnetronix’ continued expansion.
